A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to photograph one of the season's most stylish and spirited events in Derby, Ks: the Wichita Wagonmasters' 2025 Kentucky Derby Party. The room was filled with vibrant hats, Midwest charm, and a community that knows how to celebrate in style.

Marquetta Atkins-Woods is a powerhouse community educator, entrepreneur, and advocate for youth justice, born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. A Wichita State University graduate, Marquetta has spent nearly a decade building pathways for young people to lead, thrive, and transform their communities.

Jose Gutierrez doesn’t just lead a team—he builds a family. As a proud member of the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies, Jose has spent years mentoring agents, empowering entrepreneurs, and creating opportunities that change lives. For him, it’s not just about selling insurance—it’s about forging lifelong relationships, helping people build their futures, and standing firmly on the belief that success is best built together.

After graduating from Wichita State University with a degree in Business Administration, Issa put his education to work by launching two ventures close to his heart: a used car dealership and a vehicle export business connecting the United States to Africa. What fuels him every day is simple: providing reliable transportation to those who need it most.
